In this satsang, Swami Satchidananda speaks about acceptance as the key to detachment and the spirit of renunciation, two fundamentals of spiritual life. He answers questions such as: How do we reconcile self-nurturing with the spirit of renunciation? How do we know when we are to detach from painful situations or if we are running away? What does detachment from the material world look like in real life?

Sri Gurudev gives the teaching that, “Knowing when to detach means knowing your capacity and capability. Renunciation comes automatically when the mind is balanced. Real detachment comes from acceptance.  Accept everything - that is what you call real enlightenment.”
