The Last Satsang (USA)
Recorded: July 20, 2002
Running time: 70 minutes
On July 20th, 2002, Sri Swami Satchidananda spoke on the occasion of Guru Poornima, the full moon in July dedicated to the honoring of one’s spiritual master. This would be the last satsang or spiritual discourse he would give in the United States prior to his Mahasamadhi (a God-realized soul’s conscious final exit from the body) in August 2002 in India.
During his satsang, Sri Gurudev said, “Realize this, ‘God, you have made me Your instrument. You have provided me with all these things. What for? To use for the benefit of everybody, not to be used just for myself. It is for everybody’s service.’ If you remember that always, you don’t need a Guru. You’ll be safe and sound. You don’t have to worry about holding on, protecting everything, and then losing something and going crazy. God gives whenever it’s necessary. God takes it when it’s no longer necessary.”
